Due to the nature of our business, we are sensitized to the need to protect your personal information and the ways that such information may be used, accessed and stored.
Your privacy is important to us, and we take several steps to protect it under the privacy laws in the United States (federal and state law), Canada (PIPEDA), the European Union (GDPR and the Member State implementations of GDPR) and other jurisdictions worldwide.
This Privacy Policy sets forth the policies of Segal Coaching Academy, the learning platform of Segal Coaching LLC (collectively "SC”), regarding information collected and stored directly from users of this site. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, any member of a Cohort program, course, workshop or other learning opportunity (each a "Learning Program") of SC and any other person who provides any personal identifiable information on this site for any reason will be referred to below as an "SCA member."
If you are concerned about the privacy of your personal identifiable information and wish to interact with us as an SCA Member or access any of the Learning Programs or other services, please read this Privacy Policy which governs use and storage of your personal identifiable information.
If you are accepting this Privacy Policy on behalf of an enterprise, organization or business then you agree and accept that this Privacy Policy will be binding on all of your personnel who use this site or any Learning Program, whether they have directly entered their information on this site or it was entered on their behalf to enroll them in a program for your organization.
If you do not consent to this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of this site, any Learning Programs, any other services hereunder and any associated third-party sites or media. If you have any comments or questions, please contact SC at the email address listed below.
If you are under the age of 18, please do not provide us or other website visitors with any personal information and do not use this website. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 18, please contact us at the email or postal address provided below.
E-Learning Site
SC does not collect personally identifying information from visitors to its websites unless voluntarily and knowingly submitted by the visitor.
Information provided through your use of SC websites will only be used to (1) notify you or respond to your requests or (2) anonymously measure traffic and visitor patterns. SC does not provide or sell any information to third parties.
Although SC may include disclosures about “cookies” (small pieces of data sent to your computer browser from some web servers and stored on your computer’s hard drive to remember your information) on its website, it does not currently use cookies on its sites. SC believes that any service provider on which it relies that may use cookies does not store or provide SC or third parties with any personally identifiable information about its users.

Website Comments
If you choose to add a comment to any posts or lessons published on this website, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be stored, along with your computer’s IP address, the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section of the respective post or lesson and is not passed on by SC to any third party data processors (although it may be stored and used pursuant to such data processors' privacy policies).
Only your name and other information you share (which may include an email address) will be shown on the post seen by other SCA Members in the same Learning Program. If the supplied email address is linked to an account with an image of you, such image may also be displayed.
Your comments and their associated personal data will remain on this website until the comment or post is removed. At any time, you can request that they be removed by contacting SC at the address, email or phone below.
Newsletter
SC currently uses an email management service called Mailchimp to manage all newsletter email communications and may communicate periodically with users of this website via such service, a similar means or directly. Please see Mailchimp's privacy policy for more information at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
You can opt out of email communications via the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email or email SC directly at [email protected] to request to be unsubscribed and deleted from SC’s Mailchimp database.
Scheduling
If your Learning Program includes any appointments with SC, they can be made directly or through a third-party system, YouCanBook.Me. (In such case, you will be provided with the details about bookings on the site.) Please see YouCanBook.Me's privacy policy here: youcanbook.me/privacy.
Personal information may include, at a minimum, your name, e-mail address and phone number. The provision of this information is mandatory in order to book an appointment through this system. Users also have the option to add the appointment to their online calendars with YouCanBook.Me.
Payment Processing
SC uses PayPal and Stripe (via Thinkific), each a third-party online payment processor, to process online payments. SC does not receive or retain any personally identifiable financial information such as credit card numbers. All such information is provided directly to PayPal or Thinkific, respectively, whose use of your personal information is governed by such service provider's privacy policy, available here: paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full, https://www.thinkific.com/privacy-policy and stripe.com/privacy, respectively.
Text Messaging
In limited cases, SC may use text messaging for ongoing communications with you, and such information may be stored in its database. SC does not use text messaging for marketing of any kind. You may opt out of receiving text messages by return texting "unsubscribe" or emailing SC directly at [email protected].
Social Media / Social Networking Sites
SC’s service may include interfaces that allow you to connect with social media sites (each an “SNS”). If you connect to an SNS through its service, your data may be accessed, used and stored based on your settings on that SNS. SC may access, use and store that information in accordance with this policy. You can revoke our access to the information you provide in this way at any time by amending the appropriate settings from within your account settings on the applicable SNS.
SC may use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media sites, including any private messaging capabilities. Please read each website’s privacy policy before sharing any personally identifiable information on such site. Information shared with SC on such sites may be stored pursuant to these policies.
Client Relationship Management (CRM) Software
Currently SC does not use CRM software.
Storage of Information
SC may store personal identifiable information in one or more forms as permitted by law.
Use of any submission form on this or any other SC site, personal messaging, email submissions or other communications requires any visitor who submits personal information to consent to such storage.
SCA Members may further consent to such storage by means of acceptance of a services agreement, terms of conditions or payment of fee for services. Any SCA Member who engaged SC for Learning Program services prior to the date above is bound by this privacy policy upon notice of its revision.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union or other applicable law may allow such consent to be revoked. See below for contact information to request such revocation.
Other Sites
This website may contain links to other websites. Please be aware that SC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites. SC encourages its users to read the privacy policies of each and every website with which they share personal information.
Revisions, Amendments and Modifications
SC reserves the right to change this policy at any time without advance notice by posting a new notice on this site. Your use of this website after such changes constitutes your agreement to such changes.
